AEBPNO Meetings are held on Monday evenings. The dates and topics for the dinner meetings are listed on the calendar below:

Guests are always welcome. The guest fee for the meetings, including dinner, is $50. This year the fee is waived if the guest is attending for the first time and is sponsored by a member. To insure we have your dinner reservation, please contact us and RSVP by the week prior to the meeting.

2015-2016 Speakers
February 22, 2016 - Naveen Parmar, Director of Government Relations, Nationwide Financial
Naveen is currently a Director of Government Relations with Nationwide Insurance handling tax, retirement, and employee benefits issues for the company. Prior to joining Nationwide, he worked on Capitol Hill for six and half years most recently for Senator Klobuchar (D-MN) advising her on tax, banking, insurance, finance, small business, and budget issues. Mr. Parmar also worked for Congressman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), as his Ways and Means Counsel handling tax and financial services issues for the Congressman. Mr. Parmar began his career on Capitol Hill as the House Committee on Small Business? Tax Counsel. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Mr. Parmar worked for the Bureau of National Affairs Tax Management and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. Mr. Parmar received his undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University, his law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana and his L.L.M in taxation from the Georgetown University School of Law.

April 25, 2016 - Ronald Triche, Counsel, Groom Law Group
Ronald J. Triche is of counsel at Groom Law Group, Chartered, bringing 20 years of experience in the practice of employee benefits law to the firm?s plan design and taxation group. His practice focuses on qualified plan issues, including cash balance, traditional DB, 401(k), and tax-exempt work, for both plan sponsors and recordkeepers. Mr. Triche has extensive experience with design and implementation of DB and DC plans and trusts, plan administration and fiduciary duties, and QDROs. He has also advised clients on deductibility of contributions, payment of expenses with plan assets, disclosure of plan fees to participants, and compliance with requirements of applicable laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Code, and ERISA.
Prior to joining Groom, Mr. Triche served as General Counsel of NAPA & NTSA and Director of Government Affairs of ASPPA, where he drafted summaries of agency guidance, prepared and revised proposed legislations affecting DB and DC plans on both the state and federal level, and managed government affairs committees for NAPA and NTSA.

David Donaldson's program empowers professionals in the retirement plans industry to gain an in depth understanding of ERISA regulations and best practices. Advisors that have successfully competed the training are able to articulate a more comprehensive understanding of fiduciary duties and provide a higher level of expertise in guiding plan sponsor clients. David is consistently ranked as one of the top 100 most influential people in the retirement plan world.
